Steve Huynh is a Co-Founder of Great Oaks Lawyers. His vision in establishing the firm was straightforward: create a resource where individuals and families could access skilled, practical legal counsel without the barriers that often make attorneys feel out of reach. That philosophy has shaped both how the firm operates and how Steve approaches every client relationship.
Steve's background spans a broad range of civil matters, which informs the depth he brings to his current practice in estate planning and litigation. He understands that legal issues rarely occur in isolation — they intersect with family dynamics, financial pressures, and deeply personal decisions. He advises clients on the legal dimensions of their situation while remaining attentive to the human side of it, because how a matter is handled can affect far more than just its legal outcome.
His litigation experience includes representing individuals and small businesses across a range of civil disputes. In 2017, Steve served as lead counsel in a civil personal injury trial that resulted in a six-figure judgment for his client. That background in contested proceedings informs his approach to estate litigation and the advocacy he provides when estate or property matters require it.
Steve earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, with a concentration in Civil Litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine, where he studied Criminology, Law and Society. He has represented a wide range of clients throughout his career, including individuals, families, and small business owners throughout the Bay Area.
Outside the office, Steve is active in the Vietnamese American community in San Jose. He serves as Chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California and is a core member of the Vietnamese American Roundtable, where he plays an active role in community engagement events. He speaks fluent Vietnamese.
